Making disability policy human, clear, and relevant.

Signature Talks

The Strength in Staying Soft: Leading with Empathy in Hard Spaces

So much of the world rewards hardness and empathy remains one of the most reliable ways to build trust. This talk explores how gentleness and care open space for clarity and courage. Drawing from lived experience, I consider how softness can guide people through challenge while preserving resilience.

Visible Enough to Inspire, Invisible When It Matters: Rethinking Disability Representation and Policy

Stories about disability are often celebrated while access quietly lags behind. This talk examines the gap between representation, lived reality, and the policies and systems that shape daily life. From there, I examine how incomplete narratives leave people with disabilities navigating barriers that often remain unseen.

Beyond Survival: Calling Out the Enforced Barriers

Many workplaces offer basic accommodations while deeper barriers continue to limit independence. This talk explores the pressure points created by benefits systems and other structural barriers. Personal stories bring these issues to life, alongside ideas for change that center people.

Redefining Independence: Beyond the Myth of Doing It All Alone

Independence often gets confused with total self-sufficiency, even though that idea does not match the lives of many people with disabilities. This talk reframes independence as interdependence. Systems insights and lived experience help me show how shared support creates stronger outcomes for everyone.
